She can lead you to love She can take you or leave you

Bon tut mon brav,
Been a whole week since my last post, left it a little longer so I make this a more interesting read for you all.  its been a moderatly uneventful week on this small planet of ours, in comnparison to the last.  The rioters are facing justice, yet another footballer moves for insane amounts of money the likes of us will never actually understand and today hundreds and hundreds of thousands of young people get their a-level results and become overjoyed at the fact they're off to university, without realising the only things that 3 years of further education brings you is an average job, a mediocre qualification and an insubmountable desire to go back to simpler times when worries were few and parties were many....at least youll make some good friends and have some laughs, although to those that arent going, dont fret in my experience those that have forgone the experience are happier, healthier and wealthier...so well done to you.

Bottom, Kevin and Perry go Large, Ali G and so on so forth all fantastic british comedy ruined by the money grabbing producers that feel the need to cash in on film release.  New to this list, The Inbetweeners Movie.  Had the pleaseure of an invitation to accomapany some friends to the flicks to see it on release night (followed by a few cheeky cocktails).  Not without its laught at loud moments its a bit of a long episode.  No real ending and a really really streched beginning, the film essentially is an hour and a half of the best bits from the first three series all set to the backdrop of a 'lads' holiday to Malia.  Its those bits that actually provide the laughs as well, remember all the bits that really made you laugh in the tv series and these are what will tickle you during the film.  So dont get me wrong it is worth a look, but it is definatly not worth the 2 hour drive that I had to endure to get to the nearest cinema......love living in the middle of nowhere.

Literally the best bit of the whole film....follows this cut off.

Also in my sorry little life this week came the unexpected effect of my last post.  #dosomethingforsomeone.  Results I never expected.  I make no shame of the fact that my blog is something of a twitter whore, I follow a few celebs, because Im of the Heat generation of course, and dont try to hide the fact I post the address to them in order to reach a wider audience, in fact some of you reading this will have clicked the link on Rio Ferdinand or Lily Allens twitter page.  Anyway I asked you to do something self-less, truly so.  And you did, my inbox was mobbed with things you guys did.  I only get around 250-300 hits per post but it seems like the majority of the people that read took it upon themselves to help out other people, consequently really reaffirming my belief that people are generally good things, and the people I choose to surround myself with are the best of those, although in a barrell of such size there will always be one apple gone bad.  The fantastic acts of kindness you did this week included:
  • Paid £40 extra in a petrol station to cover the next person to fill up, the cashier was very confused lol .
  • Gave an umbrella to a young homeless girl when only wearing work clothes, she didnt say thankyou, she just hugged me so tight :(
  • Stopped at a bus stop on a whim during the drive home, gave two people a lift home, there were more people at the stop but they seemed a bit creeped out.
  • Pushed a ladies trolley around the whole supermarket with her as she was struggling with her two young children.
There were more, but too many to mention.  As you can see people out there do care and, if everyone who did something nice did it again, and the people they did nice things too did something nice, the snowball effect would be huuuuuuuuuge and it wouldnt take long for it to come full circle and pay you back.  In fact im sure that for those of you who went out of your way to help other, fate will reward you in time.
Also due to my shameless twitter self promotion I got a message from a beautiful young lady called Gemma Merna (thats Carmel off of Hollyoaks for all us cool kids).  Basically just saying she enjoyed the post and encouraging me to keep it up.  I love getting messages from you guys but it seems really different coming from someone I dont know, someone whose name I am just using to get out there, didnt think she'd actually read it! So hiya Gemma Merna, im sure I speak for all the readers when I say you are bangtidy!

Finally wouldnt be a post from me without some sort of depressing shlub about how unfair life is and this and that.  Well this week I have come to terms (i think :s) with the fact that I am one of those people that is destined to live my life alone.  Not alone as in alone, but alone as in on my own.  I have the best friends and family in the world, but I nowadays struggle to imagine my life including the big happy wedding I always thought was a given, taking the kids to their first day of school, even the happy saturday night just spent on the sofa with someone you love, just being in each others company.  So where do you go from there, I dont know.  I can still make a difference, I can still make other people less fortunate than myself feel some kindness, and its this I want to do now.  So Im making a start reorganising the annual charity challenge and have already started organising next years.  Also toward the end of the year and into next year you may be able to see some of the hard work I did in m former job to try and get the corperate money machine to give something back to the world that it takes so much from.  With these rather depressing notions in my brain here is my two cents for you wonderful peeps this week,  Live your life, love your friends, hug someone, get hugged, dont get up in a bad mood, dont go to bed in a bad mood, dont take your youthful looks for granted they soon desert you, dont be afraid to call your friends just to say hello they like it :), dont rush to grow up you maybe 7 or 27 but jumping in puddles is still fun, its not a bad thing to not know what you want to do with your life, you are beautiful, just cos you cant do sudoku doesnt make you stupid, everybody can make a difference, bed is good, cake is good, wine is good dont deny yourself the small things and think carefully about the big ones.
Just to finish here is something for you that may seem a bit sad, but listen to it, its inspirational.

Stay safe cyberearth, but more importantly if you cant be happy dont make other people sad. xxxo

  1. I'm retarded, but I'll help. DM or PM me mate, I'll see what I can do. It's all very "Join Me" this, and I was one of the first 1000 joinees, so I'll join this neo kindness movement too.

P.S. I don't think you'd be alone if Gemma Merna came looking for Taff's Staff...
