So, the 'difficult 2nd album'. The first post was surprisingly well received, im glad it made you smile a little, I will continue to try and do this for the forseeable future.
I have not had a good week. I dont know if any of you have ever had someone you love tell you you are surplus to their requirements, but it thouroughly suck bumbum. So this week Ive mostly been lying in my bed drinking wine. I really didnt want to vent on here but, are you meant to? who are you meant to talk to? what the fuck are you meant to fill your days with other than quiet thought and gentle weeping?
Music, good writing, and the daily text from friends checking that youve eaten and left the house for some fresh air are sweet relief from the escapes of ones own mind.
a few things are on my mind right now and here below are they...
When situations go bad beyond anyone's belief.
When paths are roughed and totally confusing.
When hope seem down and absolutely unreachable.
When you can't smile because you are weeping.
Rest for a while and let time sort out your sorrows.

Not so much a poem but a sage piece of advise.

Ed Sheeran, a whiny little ginge (another), but his new offering is tunage.
Looking after number one is my aim now. As per previous advice its fantastic to know that friends and family are there but if you cant be there for yourself then you will never truly appreciate the help that others are offering. A bit of belief, a bit of, forgive the saying, self love. I'll never be stupid enough to say I dont need my friends, but most of all I need me, I need me to be the best possible me. Because at the end of the day as the sun goes down, if you can say to yourself I did everything I could today, then what a day you have had? If you look back on the day and say 'i wish i had' then you have let yourself down, just yourself. So maybe you will al join me? Tomorrow (the day after you read this, for me the day after I write, I will perform one completly selfless act). Think about it though, it needs to be completly selfless, so people cant be watching you do it, cos that will feed ego, it cant be a favor in the hope of a favor in return, it has to be something that doesnt benefit you in anyway. If you feel the need to tell me about them you can tweet them to me @taffrebleu or post anon at the bottom of the page. This page had 200 visits after the last publish so maybe20-30 people will #dosomethingforsomeone. Especially in the wake of this weeks event (ooooooo i nearly went the whole way without mentioning the riots).
Anyway I hope beyond hope you do this simple thing for me (if you let me know i'l post some of the selfless deeds soon), and to maybe inspire you to join in I give to you the following words, which stir the self worth in even the most intrevert of you.
IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
For those of you close to trouble stay safe, and for everybody #dosomethingforsomeone
