So much for more smaller blogs, how do people do it? spesh the people that blog everyday! It surely must take over your lives!
Anyways... reference previous post, backlash much? I would say 50% of the people that read it didnt enjoy it too much :s and about 50% of that number took the liberty of contacting me to voice that opinion. To those people my retort:
Dear Morons,
I am not a racist nor xenophobe. The opinions voiced reflected my own view on those people that choose to jump on the 'bandwagon' that sucessful sporting teams attract, it is not exclusive to Wales but it effects every nation and team when sucessful. The post draws attention to fairweather fans and also highlights the ignorances of those who feel they can have 'twoteams'.
I always welcome feedback and your mail has not swayed my opinions.
So whats gaan down this week... Well I couldnt let this weekend of magical telly get by without a bit of blogging about this little gem.
Da da da dadadadada da da da dadadadada daa daa daa da daaaaaaaaaaaa.
Luuuuuuurve the xfactor. Always have always will. But is it just me or is it slowly heading down the path that many a reality show has fallen down before it.
I mean remember when big brother used to be dead good and britains got talent genuinly used to surprise us. That is before the execs get their hands on them and realise that one mental contestant equals massive figures both in terms of viewers and revenue. But thats not where it stops once you get one wacky contestant you can rest assured that the following year the show will be awash with them, there will be at least one person involved that will annoy everyone in the uk. Theres a different annoyance for everyone and reality tv tries to accomodate everyone by throwing all the zany characters in that they can.
Dont get me wrong im not saying this years factor contestants arent talented, im just questioning that maybe there are people out there who are even more talented but arent given the chance on the show because producers see a little character trait in somebody that can be exploited in the press and used to their advantage? Anywho here's my break down of this years finalists:
The Boys, mentored by Gary ' that. was. fan. tas. tic.' Barlow.
Marcus Collins: One of the this years regular contestants. Camp hairdresser from merseyside, surely gonna do well: could be a dark horse and is safe as long Gary keeps giving him songs that he can really perform.
Craig Colton: camp mersider.....wait, no it is a different one. Former biscuit factory worker Craig sings with real heart, but he does open his mouth in a way that suggests 'go on, slip a biscuit in there'. One bad performance away from a heartfelt and tearful vt featuring his dreams and aspirations away from the biscuit factory. Sorry craig but the pther boys all fall into a niche which you dont have, enjoy the next week or two.
Frankie ' walking std' cocozza
Former Feral child was discovered in manchester by the judges after wandering into an audion having smelled out the oestragen eminating from the auditioriam. Having taught him to speak in time to music Gary hopes that one day Frankie might sing something. Teaching has been difficult tho as Frankie has had to spend most of his time darting inbetween Nandos, anywhere under age teenage girls are drinking wkd and the local sti clinic. Has about as much chance of winning as he has of growing some proper facial hair.
The Girls mentored by Kelly 'putting it daan' Rowlands
Sophie Habibas: Yeah so the stylists have decided she needs to dress like carol vorderman and the tabloids have decided shes about as interesting as the nutritional content of rice paper, but, for me the Habibas is a dark horse. She has an excellent little voice and has already shown us she can do slow and fast with ease. She's easy on the eye and doesnt have any of the annoying traits of her fellow contestants....she could go the final.
MishaB (Warf): Outed as a bully by Tulisa Constastastavaloose this week and it all kicked off! Without a doubt one to watch for the future but I cant help but think she knows it. She picked a good year as if shed been in the final few in the last two years I think she would look very average indeed. Shoe in for the final tho, expect a cher lloyd colaberation this time next year, unless she beats the shit out of her.
The Over the hills, mentored by Louis 'comfort zone' Walsh
Jonny Robinson: well, its got to be said, Goldie (mental chinese lady) pulls out, Louis turns to Jonny to be the walking joke of the show. Falsetto, unusual voice, not one that lends itself easily to pop music but his turn doing the darkness this week was enjoyable...he's a guilty pleasure, but it that just a way of saying I enjoy laughing at you? I hope he goes far anyway....definate gonna be a stage career outof this anyway.
Kitty Brucknell: Theres been a lot said about Kitty. Nothing positive. So here it is, Kittys voice is incredible! If it were transferred to any other person in the world they would win. But she is not likely, the whole country dislikes her cos of her over the topness. Everyone had her pegged the same way since the audition. 'she looks like the type of girl that would show up at your girlfriends place of work and tell her youd been sleeping together, even if you hadnt'
The Groups, mentored by Tulisa Constastavolose
Rythmix: ,<INSERT GENERIC GIRL BAND COMMENT>. Made up of blondie, northern, nearly rhianna and crumpetface, rhytmix have an uphill struggle ahead, yes they maybe the best girl band the xfactor has ever seen, but, that is like saying they are the most desirable form of suicide. Will be gone by bonfire night.
The Risk: formed when three failed solo artist failed in three failed bands and one failed bands prized asset drove a several daggers into his bandmates backs for a shot at tulisas groups. Im not really a fan of the judges building groups, it will never work, these guys could stay for a while cos the ladies love em, they all have good voices but they need to do something big very soon to make a move on the top three.
So there you go, my xfactor two cents for me
Final Three
Sophie Habibas
MishaB
Marcus Collins/Craig Colton
Peace out..... btw Junior apprentice starts tonight so could be an chance for some more light hearted fun poking there?
